What this site is
Anaesthesia Notes is an independent educational resource for doctors and trainees preparing for MMed Anaesthesiology & Critical Care. It is written and maintained by a practising doctor. It is not produced, endorsed or approved by any university, college, examination board or hospital, and it is not an official syllabus or examination material.
It is study material, not clinical direction
Everything here is for learning. It is not medical advice and must not be used to make decisions about a patient. Drug doses, normal values and guidance change, and errors are possible: check current authoritative guidance and your own institution’s protocols before acting, and apply your own clinical judgement. Responsibility for any clinical decision stays with the clinician making it.
No guarantee of results
Working through this site does not guarantee success in any examination, and the site is offered as it is, without any promise that it is complete, error-free or always available. If you find a mistake, please report it to hello@anaesnotes.com; corrections matter more here than anywhere.
Your account
An account is optional and is used to keep your own progress. Keep your sign-in secure, and use one account for yourself rather than sharing it. An account may be suspended if it is used to damage the site or to redistribute its material.
What you may and may not do
- Read, study and quote from the site for your own learning, freely.
- Do not copy the lessons, figures or question banks in bulk, republish them, sell them, or use them to build another resource, whether by hand or by automated collection.
- Do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site.
Who owns what
The lessons, diagrams, worked answers and written explanations on this site are original work and remain the property of Anaesthesia Notes. Past examination questions quoted for study remain the property of their original sources and appear here for educational use.
Cost and changes
The site is free to use at present. Paid subscriptions may be introduced later; if that happens it will be announced on the site before anything changes for existing readers. These terms may be updated, and the date above will change when they are.
