Anaesthesia Notes holds as little about you as it can, and nothing about you is sold, shared or advertised against.

The short version
You can read every lesson without an account. If you sign in, it is with Google, and the site learns your name, email address and profile picture. Your study progress is kept so it follows you between devices. There is no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind, and no third-party code runs on these pages. Email hello@anaesnotes.com and your account and everything attached to it will be deleted.
What is stored
- If you sign in with Google — your name, email address, profile picture and the account identifier Google gives this site. Google is not told what you read or study.
- Your study progress — the objectives you have ticked, your examination date and plan start date, your answers and scores in question banks, and your bookmarks.
- Technical records — Cloudflare, which serves this site, processes each request and keeps short-lived technical records such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from attack.
What is not stored
- No analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. These pages load no third-party code, fonts or images at all: everything is served from this site.
- No payment details. The site is free and takes no payments.
- No clinical or patient information. Nothing here ever asks for it, and you should never enter patient details into this site.
Cookies
Two, both necessary, neither used for tracking. an_workspace remembers that you have started studying, so the site opens your workspace instead of the landing page. When you are signed in, a session cookie keeps you signed in until you sign out or it expires.
Where it is kept, and who can see it
Your records live in this site’s own database, hosted by Cloudflare in the Asia-Pacific region, inside the account of the doctor who runs Anaesthesia Notes. Nobody else is given access to it. The only outside parties involved at all are Cloudflare, which hosts the site, and Google, which handles the sign-in itself. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared for advertising.
Nothing you tick or answer is shown to any other reader. There is no public profile and no directory of users.
How long it is kept
Your progress is kept until you delete it or ask for your account to be removed. Sign-in sessions expire on their own, and signing out ends them immediately.
Your control
- Sign out at any time from the account page.
- Delete your saved progress yourself: open the small progress panel at the bottom of any page and choose Delete saved progress. It clears the records held for your account.
- Email hello@anaesnotes.com to ask for a copy of what is held about you, or to have your account and all its records deleted. Deletion is done as soon as possible, and within 30 days.
Who this site is for
Anaesthesia Notes is written for doctors and trainees preparing for MMed Anaesthesiology & Critical Care. It is not intended for children, and accounts are not offered to them.
Changes
If what is stored changes, this page changes with it, and the date above changes too.
